Build your own SEO rank tracker with Claude
Paying more than 20 euros a month for a rank tracker is passé, if you ask me. Here is how you build it yourself.
A while ago I was looking for a rank tracker with MCP without high costs. Pretty much unfindable. Tools like Ahrefs and SEMrush already cost 100+ euros a month for the cheapest plan. Too steep, because I only wanted to track around 80 keywords for Empathree.
So I put Claude to work. I asked: are there Apify scrapers to read the SERP? (SERP = Search Engine Result Page, in other words the Google results page.) Yes, was the answer. So we started building. Well, sort of: I went to get coffee, and when I got back it was already there.
What the tracker does
- Every Monday and Thursday it checks the positions we hold for certain keywords.
- In 8 cities across the north of the Netherlands.
- Then it emails every position and keeps a Google Sheet.
Cost: around 15 euros a month for Apify. That is it.
